My family decided to pack up and take the kids to Disneyland and we really had so much fun. I was a little nervous about going in the middle of the summer. I was sure we would stand in line all day long to ride one ride, but it really wasn’t like that at all. We lucked out! Although, I do have to admit that it was a little warm.

Navie’s favorite part of Disneyland was the characters of course. We went to a character dinner and she loved it. If you are ever going to Disneyland I would totally recommend it. It is so nice that you don’t have to wait in line to see them and that they actually come up to your table and spend time with the kids. Last time we went, we did the princess dinner, so this time we did Goofy’s kitchen. The kids danced and did follow the leader with Goofy and Chip for at least 15 minutes. They had so much fun playing with them and getting them to do funny things like stand on their heads. Navie was so cute and told Chip and Goofy thank you for making her dinner and that she really loved the salad and the jello that they made. So cute! Ridge was not afraid of the characters, he would actually reach out for them and would smile and be cute with them.

(this is one of the many times Goofy or one of the other characters came by and played at our table)

Ridge was the BEST baby the entire time. He was really never fussy at all and was happy and smiley everywhere that we went. So many people stopped us and told us how cute and happy he is. He loves attention and he was in heaven getting passed around and held the entire time we were in line. He was pretty indifferent about the rides, except he loved the carousel and the rocket. As soon as the merry-go-round started Ridge and Navie had a ball. They kept on laughing and giggling at each other. These are my favorite pictures of the entire trip. I am so lucky to have such great kids!

Navie did have a little mishap when we first got to Disneyland. She was running and a guy flipped the ash of his cigarette, and it landed on her and burned right through her skin and her cute little princess dress. She started screaming and I felt so bad for her. We found her a Band-Aid and she settled down, but I was so mad. It was a little of Navies fault for running and not being careful, but the jerk didn’t really make sure that she was fine after he burned her skin. The next day Navie heard sirens and she told Chris that she hopes that the cops were on their way to get the guy with the cigarette and put him in jail,. I hoped so too ;). The only good thing that did come out of the burn is one of the workers saw that it was bleeding and wanted to know what happened. When Meri told them, the worker felt so bad that she gave us passes to walk straight on to the brand new Toy Story ride that was a 90 minute wait! The ride was so much fun and all of our favorites.

All in all it was a great trip and the kids had a blast. We played hard during the day, and barely made it out of the park at night! I enjoy Disneyland, but when you see how magical it is to your kids, Disneyland really is one of the greatest places!

So much fun! Navie looks like a doll at Libby Lu. I am glad that you guys had such a great time, except for the burn. Poor Nav.

Hey! I am a mommy of two little ones, Navie (4), and Ridge(1). I have a great hubby, Dax, who works hard at a local software company. I do a little of this, and a lot of that. I work as a computer consultant a couple mornings a week, take a picture or two in my spare time, and make anything that I can! Life is good!
