So I interrupt your regularly scheduled catch up posts, to tell you my house was on fire today.  Okay, so maybe not my house, but my kitchen…  Okay, so maybe not my kitchen, but there was a fire in my microwave!  I’ll give you the play by play…

3 MINUTES later… 

Navie comes in screaming FIRE, FIRE, FIRE, FIRE… Our house is on FIRE.  She was freaking out so bad I couldn’t get the story. 

I can smell the burn, so I run to the kitchen.  The microwave door is open and there is a huge flame touching the ceiling of the microwave. 

I grab the closest cup and start throwing water on it, 3 full cupfuls later it was out! 

Wheh, that was a little freaky!!!  How quick could the fire go from inside the microwave to the rest of the house?!?!?!  Navie knows that she shouldn’t make her own food, but she has been trying to show us how big she is lately.  Taking Ridge potty and getting her own food ready, but she has always had me cook it.  I know she wanted me to be proud of her, and a little bit of me was.  She honestly put saran wrap over the top of the easy mac container!!!   She just forgot one thing…  ADD WATER! 

Poor girl, she was soooo upset and scared, and so was Ridge.  He walked around the house for the rest of the day saying, “ Mom, mom, my miowave on fire,”  “Mom, it really dirty, you clean it”.   All I can say is hopefully she learned a GOOD lesson!!!
