Dax’s work has a conference down in SLC every couple of years, and so me and the kids tag along and have our own mini vacation while he is away at meetings.  It really is so fun.  There is generally nothing planned, so we just do whatever we feel like.  I forgot my camera, but we did manage to take a few shots with my iphone. 

We lucked out this year, and they ran out of normal hotel rooms, so they put us in a 2 level suite!  The kids could not believe that our hotel room had stairs in it that lead to a loft with another bed and bathroom.  I do have to admit that I think I was just as impressed ;) 

The last time they had the conference, me and Navie ordered room service for breakfast.  It was obviously a hit, because one of the first things she requested was room service!  Ridge didn’t know what to expect, but soon realized that he LOVED room service too!

I love how Navie has to lay down to eat her breakfast! 

We are also lucky that Dax’s friends at work have such fun families!  We always meet up and take the kids to do fun things together.  One of the days we managed to take the kids to the zoo!

It was SO SO hot the day that we went to the zoo, it felt like the hottest day of the year!  The kids didn’t seem to mind, they just loved seeing the animals.  Both of their favorites was the monkeys.  They loved the orangutan.  Ridge thought it was hilarious that it slept with a gunny sack, and kept putting it over his head.

We also went to discovery gateway, played in the fountains at the gateway, and swam everyday at the pool.  The kids keep asking when we are going to stay in the hotel again in Salt Lake!
