So I was going through my pictures tonight trying to decide on pictures for our calendar this year.  I know, way to wait till the last minute!  I came across this picture, and I just want to eat this little baby up!  Aren’t those chubby little cheeks just begging to be squeezed.  Oh, were has my little baby gone?  He is showing more and more signs of little boy everyday.  The days of drool and diapers are slipping through my fingers.  Oh, who am I trying to kid, the diaper days will be here for a while.  This really is as fat as my babies come, and they don’t stay this chubby for long, so when they are I just eat it up. 

Ridge is getting so big.  He loves to play with the kids.  He will follow Navie and her friends around the house, and thinks he is as big as she is.  We have finally pulled the gate off of the stairs, and he is in heaven.  He has found a staircase to a whole new world just waiting to be explored!  Any chance he gets he is cruising down the stairs to see what he can find.

Ridge is starting to talk more and more.  He definitely talks the best for me.  He tries to repeat a lot of words until Dax comes around, and then mum is the word.  Dax, will finally hear him, only after calling me a fibber for a week :)  Some of the words he will say are; bird, hot, poo poo ;), ku-ku, mama, dada, up, car, cookie, bu-bye, push, oh-o, ba-ba, hello, hi, and papa.  He won’t say them when you want him to, but he can say them when he wants to!  He will occasionally come up and tell me that he is poo poo, which is SO nice! 

Everybody would try to tell me that Ridge was a lot more laid back than Navie, but I am not so sure.  Oh, he has an opinion, and he knows what he wants.  I know this is typical of this age, but he is definitely into throwing fits!  If he wants something and doesn’t get it, he will put his head down in front of him and cry.  Every once in a while you get a good throw my head back and slither around on the floor tantrum, but only when your lucky!

Ridge doesn’t love just his mom or his dad, but he definitely loves us both.  Some of my favorite time are when I come home and Dax is sitting on the floor indian style and Ridge is sitting in between his legs.  His signature move is to walk backwards until he makes contact with your crossed legs and then sit down in your lap.  He loves for me to chase him and tries to initiate it any chance he gets! 

  I love his cute little fake laugh when he thinks he is funny, his love for his cute little blue blanky, and how he will come up and put his head on you to give you loves.  He really is such a great kid and we are so lucky to have him.
