Hmmm… What to say about Texas. Everything is bigger in Texas? Well, the only thing that I noticed that was bigger in Texas was my hair! Was it larger than normal, no, but it felt larger than life, a celebrity if you may. That may be the one thing that I remember about our trip to Texas, Texans LOVE our hair. As we walked down the mall, we’d get stopped, as we ate dinner, we got stopped, in the airport, we’d get stopped. Young women, old women, men, we got stopped by them all! So what started out as a little bit of funk in my hair to ward off the feelings of homely, middle age mommyhood, turned into a Texas phenomenon. So the moral of the story is, if you have average hair here in Utah, then all you have to do it go to Texas and you’ll have superstar hair!

We had a ton of fun on our tip! We ate at good restaurants, without having to duck tape a little boy, whom we all know and love, to his high chair. We shopped without any kind of stroller, although it may have came in handy to carry all of our purchases. And, we slept without the gentle cry in the night of a kid that needs their covers back on, or a binky re-inserted!076 My aunt Meri, Mitzi, and ME!

Our hotel was right on the riverwalk, so this is what we walked down every day. San Antonio really is a beautiful city!215 218

My dad called multiple times to MAKE SURE we hit the Alamo. So, we went right next door to the skyscraper and across the street from Ripley’s Believe it or Not and visited the Alamo (yes, it is in the middle of the city) . I felt a little jipped, where was the sagebrush, and why didn’t we have to drive down a long and dusty road to get here? Doesn’t the Alamo reside on some desolate prairie? Oh well, I got over it as soon as I realized that it was on the same block as the mall ;).141

We ate dinner every night on the Riverwalk. This was my favorite part! There are a ton of restaurants and clubs lined up along the river. It was nice, the weather was just cool enough at night for a jacket, but nice enough to eat outside!

Here is my cutest little sister, looking so cute and pregnant!190

So to sum up our trip, we did everything that girls LOVE to do! Got our makeup done, shopped, got pedicures, shopped some more, watched chic flicks, giggled, shopped, went off roading in the mall parking lot, and then…we went shopping! It was a great trip and something I will never forget. I love you both and am so glad that we got to spend a great weekend just hanging out!

PS. Mitzi didn’t think I would, but here they are… A couple outtakes if you will :). Yup, so we are just a little goofy006

This one makes me feel like I am right back to High School…

Yep, I just put that face for the world to see!

How fun! That's funny that everyone liked your 'average' hair. (I don't think your hair is average plain or anything though!!)

Hey! I am a mommy of two little ones, Navie (4), and Ridge(1). I have a great hubby, Dax, who works hard at a local software company. I do a little of this, and a lot of that. I work as a computer consultant a couple mornings a week, take a picture or two in my spare time, and make anything that I can! Life is good!
