Somehow, in the last couple of months, my little sweetheart has grown up so much! She really has morphed into such a good kid, and is so considerate to others! Navie was such a stinker for a couple of weeks leading up to Christmas. I was about ready to send her back on Santa’s sleigh with him, with no return label. Now all the hype is gone, and we are back to normal life, she really has turned into such a little sweetheart. I want to remember her kind little four year old heart. So without further ado, her are a few Navie-isms…

Boston 233 copy

-Yesterday she told me that the boys chase her at school. When I asked her why, she told me that they thought she was silly. Then she looks at me all disgusted and goes “LAME”

-We went to CafĂ© Rio for lunch and Mitzi was holding Navie. Navie asks me to hold her instead, and then whispers in my ear “Mom, I just don’t want to hurt Mitzi’s little baby (in her belly).”

-Navie’s friend Katelyn has surgery on her ear yesterday. We decided that we should bring her a treat. I asked Navie what she wanted to bring her, and she decided that she needed soft foods, gummy worms, gum, and Reese’s Peanut butter cups. I asked her why she was picking soft foods, and she looked at me and said, “Mom, she had surgery on her ear. You know when you chew, your ears move. She needs something that won’t hurt her ears.” Oh, sweetie, you are so thoughtful.

- My dad hurt his arm, so Navie wants to make sure that every time that he is holding her with his good arm and is not hurting his bad arm.

-Navie wanted to go and play with Meri’s kids, but they were at school, so my dad offered for her to go and work with him. I went to pick her up after a couple of hours and she didn’t want to come home. She asked me very nicely to leave, and so I did and promised to come back to get her in a little while. The second that I drove away, she ran to the window and said, “My mom’s gone, now let’s go play at Meri’s house.” What a little stinker!

When her brother hits her, she doesn’t hit him back, she just takes his hand and so nicely rubs it on her cheek and tells him “no, soft… soft.”

While Mitzi was complaining about the pregnancy heart burn that she is getting, Navie went and grabber her some Tums. She thought of it all on her own, we hadn’t even mentioned Tums while we were talking.

Some things she is into and others not so much…

- she has informed me that she is WAY too old for Dora, and most of the kid shows

- she loves for Dax and I (but usually me) to lay by her for a couple of minutes before bed. Lately, we play guess what I am thinking about, or her FAVORITE is let’s call each other silly names. She always starts with “you’re a banana head”

- she loves to help out, and will take everyone's dishes in, help Dax clean up in the basement, and always throws her wrappers away when she is done with things

- has a tendency to get her feelings hurt easily lately.

- LOVES going to school and always asks if it’s that day yet

- Loves to take pictures with her camera, and mine

- can read small words, and loves to write words on her own (she is pretty good too!) This is a sign that she put in her window the other day to invite everyone to her party for her baby cat and baby Care Bear… She wrote this all on her own.  It reads…

Cat Care Bear

- I think it’s cute, she spells how things sound, but I think it’s cute!

Oh how I love her! And what four year old can already write like that? She amazes me! I feel like I haven't seen her in a week and I miss her!

Great Post! I love that you wrote down these little 'sayings' or 'gestures' she is doing. Reminds me I need to slow down with Jaimen, I have just been to frustrated lately.

She is a doll, who couldn't fall in love with her??

Hey! I am a mommy of two little ones, Navie (4), and Ridge(1). I have a great hubby, Dax, who works hard at a local software company. I do a little of this, and a lot of that. I work as a computer consultant a couple mornings a week, take a picture or two in my spare time, and make anything that I can! Life is good!
