I LOVE valentines day.  I love making valentines, and all of the fun celebrations that go along with it.  This year, Brynn had her birthday party during the day.  So we got up and went swimming.  Then we came home, got into our PJ’s, and had a lazy night at home.  It really was the BEST valentines that we have ever had!

Here are the valentines that Navie made everyone.  I LOVE THEM!  She also made one for Mitzi, but she took it before I could get a picture of it.  It had a cute baby bump, just like Mitzi!

I can’t help but to just LOVE mine.  She told me that she did my hair just like it is in real life, blonde, then red, then blonde, then red.  Notice my striped hair, don’t kids tell it just as they see it!

We have been telling Navie that she could start having a “free night”  for dinner once a month.  She get’s to pick ANYTHING that she wants to eat.  We started it on valentines, and it was so much fun!

She stuck to the valentines theme and picked pink frosting doughnuts, pink sprinkle sugar cookies, red watermelon, and red strawberries.  She LOVED being able to pick her own food, and I was proud of her for picking the fruit all by herself!  Ridge was good for anything that sister picked.

My kids have this thing with getting their hands dirty, they just don’t like it.  So Mr. Ridge choose to eat his food without picking it up.  It was cracking us all up!

Navie and I set up a candle light dinner, with love music in the background.  My favorite part is the candles in the cups.  When we got the candles home from the store, I realized that I didn’t have any holders for them.  Navie thought it was great that we could use her crystal rocks that she picked out for me for Christmas last year!  She was so excited, I was glad that we didn’t have candle holders!  That’s how we roll, white trash, ghetto style!  ha ha ha

We ended the night by reading everyone’s valentines to each other, and it was so sweet it made Navie cry!  I think I have the best Valentines ever, and was so glad that we spent the night hanging out as a family!  I love you guys so much!

Ok that looks like such a fun night spent with your cute little family. I love how Ridge eats his donut...that is how my 4 year old ate his up until recently. I also have to say that Navie is quite the little artist...loved the Valentines cards.

How fun! I had another friend that did this too. What a good idea!

That sounds like a blast, I am stealing that idea for next year. A candle-light dinner with the kids.

Hey! I am a mommy of two little ones, Navie (4), and Ridge(1). I have a great hubby, Dax, who works hard at a local software company. I do a little of this, and a lot of that. I work as a computer consultant a couple mornings a week, take a picture or two in my spare time, and make anything that I can! Life is good!
