I am a very lucky person who is surrounded by great friends!  I think about how lucky I am every single day!  I love being around people, and am generally up for any kind of “let’s go do this” you ask me to do.  So of course I was SO excited when our friends invited us up to their family cabin last weekend.  We went up there and had a blast.  Mitzi and Chris were kind enough to try their parenting skills on my kids, and they actually survived!  Thank you guys so much for giving us a much needed break.  Sometimes I think our kids love you more than their boring old mom and dad :).

We ate yummy food.  We also played a ton of games, which included our husbands returning to their teenage sense of humors, and loving every minute of it.  It is so much fun to see a bunch of grown men giggling like little girls. 

The girls had a ton of life, friends, husbands, family, and kids talks.  It is nice to hear that your friends get you, and are going through a lot of the same things that you go through.

Anyway, we had such a good time and are so grateful that we have such awesome friends that we get along with so well.  Thanks so much Derek and Erin for taking us up to your families BEAUTIFUL cabin…. Well if you could call it that.  When a cabin is nicer than your house, do you still call it a cabin???  We had a blast and hope we can do it again someday!
