ME Holly moley!  July, August, September, October…  well they just practically swept me by.  Honestly, it scares me a little.  I have never been so busy in my life.  I am feeling like things are slowing down, and we are getting into a new routine, but the busy holidays are just around the corner!  I have been SUPER busy with Pictures, I am constantly trying to try new things, and take my pictures to a new level.  I have some great sessions in store, that I think have a lot of potential, but it is a lot of work!  How do these full time photographers do it?  Honestly, I know that I am a perfectionist, and probably work on each picture a little more than most, but honestly where do they find the time to shoot so much, and edit that much more?  I am trying to find a good balance between it all…  Wait, I think I may have said that before, on this very blog…  Okay, so I guess it’s a never ending thing.  Maybe all moms feel that way?!?  Please tell me that it’s not just me!?

Navie has been busy with school, and loving every minute of it.  All fears that I had with sending her are gone.  I volunteer up in her class as much as I can, and I love to see her with all of her friends.  She is doing AWESOME, and is so smart!  Her reading has just taken off, and I swear she can read years above her.  It honestly makes me so proud to watch her read regular books, and be excited that she is reading the books that I normally read her.  I am teaching her all that I can, but how do you describe to a 5 year old the crazy way the English language is structured and why things are silent in some words, and every letter makes a different sound in basically EVERY word!  Honestly, you don’t stop and think about how crazy it is until you are trying to teach it to somebody!

Ridge is busy being 2, and as stubborn as ever.  I think he is at a 80% age.  80% of the time he is absolutely fabulous and the thing that brings me the most joy in a day, but the other 20%, wow…  That kid is stubborn.  He knows what he wants, and, well he knows what he wants!  The 20% include;  throwing things when he is mad, occasionally hitting, glaring, talking back, telling you no, and showing up for the first time at his Dr. appointment the other day… pulling my hair… with both hands!  Yep, doc, I am a good mom and I raise my kids right!  Gotta love the timing of that!  The dr. actually said that he is very bright for his age, is talking well, and that we need to start potty training him… URRRGHHHH…  He is in the 75% for his height, and the 14% for his weight!  LOL… TRADE ME PLEASE!!!  Aren’t you glad that they don’t do percentiles for adults!!!!

Dax has been just as busy as I am!  He has been spending all his free time finishing the basement, and can I say that we are DONE!!!  Well, almost.  All that is left is the bathroom, and we picked up the tile today.  It is fabulous!!! Pictures will come soon!   We (errr… I) can’t wait to start furnishing it. And, by the way I am looking for a funky chair,  that Dax demands has to be comfortable.  I have looked everywhere, so if anybody has any ideas…

ME Saw this on the web the other day…  Seems so simple doesn’t it.  I am not saying that I am not happy, but I would be lying if I didn’t say that I was always looking for a higher level of peace and happiness in my life.  Always trying to better myself, and be a better wife, friend, mom, neighbor, family member.  I guess you can apply it in each individual aspect of your life, and not just as a whole.

Did anybody watch Oprah today?  The happiest people of the world, basically it showed people around the world that are happy with so little.  One man in Denmark said, “ Less space, less things, more life!”  It was AMAZING to see the how content they were with their lives.  They worked less, owned less, LET THEIR 1 MONTH OLD BABIES TAKE  NAPS OUTSIDE… ALONE, and said they never hear of kidnapping or anything like that.  Wow, we have a lot to learn!

Okay, I am done.  If anybody is still reading this you deserve a treat or an aspirin.. .ha ha ha

Ah...Balance. Is it possible to achieve? I don't even have a business (photog) and I can't find balance. No it's not just you. And yes, percentiles for adults would be nothing but devestating!! P.S. I just got updated on your photo blog. You're really talented! You do amazing work. It seems like with digital, photographers are a dime a dozen lately. But not you, you're really amazing!!

Growth charts for adults? That made me laugh, although, I wouldn't be laughing at what mine said! Katelyn and Ridge are about the same size. Skinny babies!

You are such a talented girl! How can you NOT be busy?

Oh Kami you crack me up! That was funny and no, I didn't need an asprin at the end but maybe I'll treat myself to a treat! I can't believe how great your pictures are too-(agreeing with Angie)and since our last little girl's night I've bought a camera and I think I spend more time editing pictures than anything so I understand what you're saying. You do great work though and I could use some pointers from you! Great update and Ridge's birthday cake is (was) DARLING!!!

Hey! I am a mommy of two little ones, Navie (4), and Ridge(1). I have a great hubby, Dax, who works hard at a local software company. I do a little of this, and a lot of that. I work as a computer consultant a couple mornings a week, take a picture or two in my spare time, and make anything that I can! Life is good!
