We are driving down the road, and Navie says, “Dad, how about tomorrow we get up rent some skis and just go skiing.”  She said it like we’ve done it a million times.  Dax goes snowboarding all of the time, and I like to pretend that I still snowboard, even though it’s been years since I have been on my board, but we have never took Navie.  I always thought she was too little.  But, how can you say no when she was being so cute?  So we pack our things and headed up to Snowbasin.  Ridge and I just planned on hanging out on the deck and watching her ski for a couple of hours, because I am sure she will only last 2 hours max, right?  Um NO, she skied for 4 1/2 hours, and didn’t want to leave!

 
Ridge had to have sunglasses, and I couldn’t find his, and so he spent the day sporting his sisters!  Gotta love a boy with sparkly jewels on his glasses!

Navie Rocked it on skis.  She fell a lot the first time, and then some a cute mom I was sitting by sent her up with an edgie wedgie, and she was a pro.  She used it a few times, and then took it off and was skiing on her own without falling.  She can’t wait to go again next year, and Dax can’t wait to talk her into getting on a snowboard next year!

  Me and Ridge honestly hung out on the Deck and Rode the gondola.  It really was a ton of fun!  He was just happy that I let him eat 3 bags of chips for lunch.  How can you say no to that face?

It was Retro day, so everyone was dressed up!  It was great to see girls skiing in leopard mini skirts!  The kids thought it was so funny.

       

At the end of the day, we all took a lift to the top and hung out for a little bit.  It was a fun day, and I am so glad we forgot all of the things we were going to do, and “got up and rented some skis, and just went skiing!”
