So Navie had her first dance performance, and she totally rocked it! Oh, can I tell you how much fun I had watching her. They danced two times the day after thanksgiving. The first time they danced at a retirement community, and the second they danced at the Christmas Tree Jubilee. While she was stretching and getting ready to dance at the retirement community, I walked up to her to tell her to do her best, and I got so emotional. My baby is dancing for the first time. She looked so grown up with her little mascara, and her curly hair. I put my hand on her shoulder, and then I looked her in the eye... don't forget the tears starting to pool in mine. I am going to give her the motherly advise that is brimming in my heart, we are going to have our moment. She looked me back in the eye and she says, "MOOOOMMM... ugh.... I know what you are going to say. I already know what you are going to say." I tell her how much I love her, and that she should her best, and have fun. She turns to me, and in a Navie type of way says, "Mom, I told you that I knew what you were going to say." And then, get this, she rolled her eyes. Okay, so maybe I imagined that part, but I am not sure anymore. She definitely had the roll of the eyes tone of voice. So, even if she didn't, she might as well have. Emotional mom- check, Cute little ballerina- check, a tender moment between a mom and her baby girl- uncheck! LOL.. that's my girl!
The first performance they were a little rocky. It was their first time dancing not in the dance room, but it was cute none the less.
Then we head off to the Jubilee to do their dance on a real stage. They have some time to practice before and warm up.
Look at all those cute little ballerina toes!
So they then line up to go on the stage. Navie is the littlest and youngest one in her dance class, so she is at the last of the line. Everyone walks on stage and lines up in a straight line. What do you think my little princess does... She keeps on walking past everyone, starts walking on her tip toes, smiles, and is waving at the crowd. She walked right to the middle of the stage, and was just a waving at everyone. Oh, the crowd was laughing and she was just smiling. It seriously was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. I totally loved it. This picture is when she just started walking in front. If I wasn't laughing so hard I may have been able to actually take a picture of her waving on her tippy toes. The video is a crack up, but you'll just have to take my word for it. I can barely find the time to blog, let alone post video!
Step together, step together, bounce, bounce, bounce!
So miss Navie, you were a doll. You made your momma's day and you cracked everyone up. I love your spunk, and I even love your sass. You were a star and you rocked it!

Ok Kami she is quite the character! I better get a girl one day so I can have these moments where they can dance on stage...if not, I will be dressing my boys up in pink :) She is a doll and it looks like you guys had alot of fun!
Go Navie!!
What a doll, she is so stinkin' cute!! I love her sass too, makes me wonder what little Selma will be like when she's her age :)
I do have to say that this was one of the cutest things I have ever seen. Ever! It's worth the time to put the video on your blog because there are no words to explain how funny she is!
I think she looks just like you! We used to "rock it" didn't we? Ha! I wish I could see the video of what we looked like! I'm sure it's terrible!
what a spunky little girl! She's so cute. I love their little outfits and those huge lollipops. Adorable.
oh my...this is the cutest thing ever!! I wish I could wear that little outfit and prance around on stage....to be young again, right?!
What a beautiful little girl! And I think you are probably the most creative person I know! Those necklaces are so awesome! I'd love to show some of my girlfriends what they look like so they could buy some. Do you just want them to email you or should I email them your blog? BTW, here is my blog and email address:
