So I was shooting for a Christmas in July post, but lucky me, I found a little bit of time to squeeze it in ;). We started off Christmas Eve with a trip to the Treehouse for their Christmas eve party. It was so much fun, and something that I want to do again next year! Then we went to dinner at Dax’s grandma’s house, came home and made some cookies for Santa, opened up some PJ’s, and read Twas the Night Before Christmas together as a family. Phew, man we did a lot!
Here is Navie’s pictures that she drew for Santa. This is Santa and Mrs. Clause, and that little tiny thing on the side of Santa, is her laying in bed, waiting for him.
This is her cute little letter to Santa, she started writing it herself, and then she decided that it was going to take too long. So I transcribed for her, it says…
Dear Santa,
I love sitting on your lap, I like sitting by you. I like getting presents. Why did my Grandpa get coal last year? I love when you gave me presents when I was two and you gave me a candy cane. I want a teddy bear, and a Barbie doll, and a doll house. I want you to give me a surprise. I love my mom and dad. I want a new Christmas tree (for her room)… a big one, that doesn’t run out of batteries. I want a picture frame that goes on my wall.
Navie
She is so funny, she is always worried about running out of batteries for everything. Her cute little tree has never run out of batteries yet, but she never wants to turn the lights on, because she is afraid the batteries will run out.
Dax, and Mitzi joined us at the Treehouse. We did some caroling, visited Santa, Navie got her face painted, had some cookies, and a lot of fun!
I didn’t take any pictures on Christmas Eve of his Grandma’s house, but here are some from her annual Christmas party a few weeks earlier.
Navie couldn’t wait to open up her one present all night long. When we got home from having dinner with Dax’s family, that is the first thing that we did. They got some cute new jammies.
Then it was time to make some cookies, and set out some treats for the reindeer. Navie wanted to make sure they had enough so that they had enough energy to make all of the kid’s house’s…
Ridge on the other hand, he was too interested in sharing the carrots with the Reindeer!
He was REALLY, REALLY interested in a few for himself.
Those Reindeer don’t need a whole bag of carrots… Do they?

Her letter is so cute! And what a thoughtful Mom to put carrots out for the reindeer, I bet they appreciated it! They look adorable in their jammies:)
